• .The two comedians from Lille Aymeric Lompret and Gérémy Crédeville have been tracing their way for twelve years, each with their own style.

  • Both have followed a somewhat similar trajectory, notably starting their careers at the Spotlight, a small performance hall in Lille.

  • The two Northerners will meet on stage, Sunday, in Lille, during the tour "We don't joke with humor" bringing together the columnists of France Inter.

It's the story of guys whose destinies keep crossing.

For twelve years, the two comedians from Lille Aymeric Lompret and Gérémy Crédeville have been cultivating laughter, with a very distinct recipe: unbridled black humor for Aymeric, more detached and second degree for Gérémy.

The two apostles of laughter will meet together on stage, Sunday, in Lille, for the tour "We don't joke with humor" which brings together comic columnists from France Inter.

Almost a homecoming if we rewind their career.

Common Humor Festival

“For us, it all started on March 10, 2010, says Gérémy Crédeville.

During a comedy festival at the Dupire farm in Villeneuve d'Ascq, Aymeric won the intermittent prize and I the amateur prize.

He was a little ahead of me.

“Length that Aymeric Lompret kept, in stride, during the TV show “We only ask to laugh about it”: 40 passages against 4 for Gérémy Crédeville.

"My sketches weren't terrible, however, but it gave me notoriety and they were my first intermittent stamps", recalls Aymeric, former GO in a holiday village and order picker at La Blanche Porte, a company distance selling in Tourcoing.

"It took me ten years and my meeting with Pierre-Emmanuel Barré and Blanche Gardin to build a tour that looks like something," he admits.

Because today, the rooms of 100 people gave way to the gauges of 1,000 spectators.

"Today, Gérémy is a little ahead of me, but I'm doing two dates at Sébasto and he's only one," he jokes, happy to invest in the largest theater in Lille.

"France Inter made us switch to another world"

For Géremy, the Sébasto above all symbolizes the first imperishable memory of a stage.

“I opened for Eric Baert in 2010 and having 1,400 people laughing in front of you was impressive.

It was this experience that made me want to get into it, ”recalls the child from Lambersart, near Lille.

It was good for him because, as for his friend Aymeric Lompret, originally from Neuville-en-Ferrain, on the Belgian border, there are now hundreds of thousands of people who follow his radio chronicles on the web.

"France Inter made us switch to another world", they admit together.

Because "becoming a comedian was never a childhood dream" for them.

"Maybe that's why it worked," adds Gérémy.

As a teenager, he was destined to become a sports teacher.

“My mother was a childminder.

I have always lived among children and I love working with them,” he says.

He remained director of the Lambersart sports center between the ages of 17 and 27.

However, at the same time, his talent and sense of repartee exploded in an amateur improvisation theater troupe.

An experience that allows him to be comfortable in all areas, including song and dance.

"After participating in the show 'Dancing with the Stars', I would like to film behind the scenes with a camera," he explains.

“I have indoor football training”

Among the challenges he would still like to take up are a leading role in a theater troupe and dubbing films.

For Aymeric, on the other hand, the projects turn rather towards the cinema.

"There are a few proposals, we'll see", he underlines, admitting that "few TV shows (l) e are funny".

"I can't participate in "Dancing with the Stars" like Gérémy, I have indoor football training.

And that's true !

On the other hand, I would like to do "Les Z'amours", he smiles.

One thing is certain, he intends to stay in Lille.

“I hesitated for a long time, but I feel good in this city.

There are plenty of things to do, including creating a comedy festival in rooms with a refreshment bar.

It always goes well when there is a refreshment bar, ”he notes, with a smirk.

“Lille is my breath of fresh air and my daily inspiration, assures, for his part, Gérémy Crédeville.

I lived in Paris for a while, it pissed me off.

First ranges at the Spotlight

Finally, one like the other does not forget what they owe to the Spotlight, a small room in Lille where they made their first ranges.

“It's true that both opened the open stages in 2010, recalls Isabelle Baert, site manager.

For us, it will always be a bit like the Spotlight babies.

»

She particularly remembers Gérémy.

“I can still see him coming in here with a determined step.

He is reserved but knows where he is going.

“As for Aymeric, Isabelle gladly qualifies him as” endearing “.

"I'm not surprised at their success in humor," she says.

They are hard workers who have known, in addition, to stay close to each other.
