Shortly after lunch, students from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry College complained of stomach pains, dizziness and headaches.

Among them, 73 people had symptoms and 16 were hospitalized.

Sixteen college students from Chaumont-en-Vexin were hospitalized on Thursday, said the Oise prefecture, which evokes a suspicion of food poisoning in the college canteen.

By late afternoon, 73 people were showing symptoms and 16 were hospitalized, the prefecture said in a statement.

The origin of the contamination is not yet confirmed.
