On Wednesday, a meeting was held where the municipality launched the maps.

The meeting was also attended by property owners, the rescue service and regional insurance Östergötland.

Maria Rothman, who is the climate and stormwater strategist at the municipality, believes that good cooperation between several actors is required when adapting the climate.

- None of us can do this ourselves, we can only do it if we work together, says Maria Rothman.

The flood maps will primarily benefit property owners.

Right now, a test is being done in Ljuraparken, where the municipality, together with Hyresbostäder, is collaborating to adapt the entire area to the climate.

- We want to show it as a good example for other property owners, for how they should approach us at the municipality and look at how we should cooperate, says Maria Rothman.
