Kim Gun-hee, spouse of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, said today (10th), "I will help the elected person faithfully carry out the vocation given to them by the people, albeit weakly."

In her message today through her predecessor's headquarters, Mrs. Kim said, "We will work together so that the elected president can take more interest in the shady places of society that the government cannot reach."

Regarding the 'appearance of the president's spouse after election', she said, "I think that creating an environment in which the president can concentrate on state affairs is the top priority for the president's spouse."

She added, "If the circumstances allow, we will work together to address the problems of the underprivileged and those in the shadow of growth that the government has not reached."

It was also belatedly known that Ms. Kim delivered her handwritten letter to the 'Companion Force', a group of spouses of politicians belonging to the People's Power, during her campaign.

She said that Rep. Yang Geum-hee, who led the meeting, received her handwritten letter through her candidate's secretary's office and delivered it to forum members as her image file.

She is known to have stated in her letter that Ms. Kim said, "To live as a politician's wife requires sacrifice. I send you my respect. I will follow along and learn."

She says that she first referred to forum members as 'seniors', who first became the politician's family.

Mrs. Kim, who did not appear in the official election campaign during Yun's candidacy, did not appear even when the election was confirmed yesterday.

Today, she announced that she would help, even at least as little as possible, by the side of President-elect Yoon, which is interpreted as meaning that she will focus on quiet help, focusing on the underprivileged class, rather than her active outside activities as her first lady.

Previously, President-elect Yoon promised to abolish the second annex of the Blue House to support the First Lady during her candidacy.
