C4: Marseille beats Basel 2-1 in the round of 16 first leg at the Vélodrome

OM opened the scoring in the 19th minute thanks to a penalty from Arkadiusz Milik who doubled the lead in the 67th minute by taking the ball cleared by Basel goalkeeper Heinz Lindner.

But the Swiss came back to score in the 79th thanks to Sebastiano Esposito and remained threatening until the end of the match against a Marseille team which proved feverish despite their domination.
