All of Sweden's county administrative boards are now taking an inventory of temporary accommodation for refugees from Ukraine.

The need for housing can increase rapidly in a short time.

About two million refugees have already left Ukraine.

- I am convinced that the municipalities will stand up.

Now it remains to be seen what we get together in Västerbotten if we use schools, rural farms, parish homes and the like in a first stage, says county councilor Lars Lustig.

When it comes to more permanent housing, the situation is a bit tougher, he says.

- The large surplus of apartments that existed a few years ago is gone, and in several municipalities there is a housing shortage.

But even here, the municipalities will do what they can, says Lars Lustig.
