The stepping stone for Yoon-elect's comeback was Seoul, the capital city of 8.3 million voters.



President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol, who was ahead in 14 of the 25 districts, defeated Lee by a margin of 310,000 votes. In particular, Gangnam, Seocho, and Songpa received nearly twice as many votes than Lee in the so-called 'Gangnam 3 districts', and the entire Seoul A majority of the votes were obtained.



The aftermath of the current government's real estate policy, such as rising house prices and subsequent tax increases, is also believed to have affected the vote. As a result of the exit polls of the three terrestrial broadcasters, voters who owned even a house showed that they supported Yoon more than Lee.
