The 20th presidential election is over.

People's Power President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol was elected president after defeating Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, who received 16,147,738 votes with 16,394,815 votes nationwide.

The gap between the two candidates was 247,077, the smallest gap in the history of the presidential election.

The SBS data journalism team <Careful Action> visualized the vote rates of the 1st and 2nd candidates by city/county/gu across the country on a national map so that you can see at a glance the status of the 20th presidential election, which was held in an all-time super tight match.

Unlike the previous maps, where only the top candidates by city, county, and district could be seen, this map shows the votes.

Since the city/gun/gu has been reconstructed with the same area to prevent distortion according to the area, there may be a difference from the actual location.

In the Honam region, candidate Lee Jae-myung's vote rate overwhelms President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol.

On the other hand, in Yeongnam and Gangwon regions, President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol has a higher percentage of votes.

In the Chungcheong area and the Seoul metropolitan area, there are many areas of close combat within 3 percentage points.

In this presidential election, there are 29 regions in which the difference between the 1st and 2nd places in the vote is less than 3 percentage points.

Gyeonggi-do had the most with 9, followed by Seoul with 8.

Of the 29, Yoon Seok-yeol won 10, and Lee Jae-myung 19.

Within 1% point, there are 7 in total, including Seodaemun-gu in Seoul, Michuhol-gu in Incheon, Daedeok-gu in Daejeon, Buk-gu in Ulsan, Yeongtong-gu in Suwon-si in Gyeonggi, Hanam-si in Gyeonggi, and Heungdeok-gu in Cheongju in Chungbuk.

Buk-gu, Ulsan, recorded the smallest difference in votes in the nation, with a difference of only 95 votes between the 1st and 2nd places.
