- The consequence will be that as an adult patient you may have to wait for your usual examination time, says Idakajsa Sand, director of public dentistry in the Örebro county region.
That you have ended up in that situation is due to a combination of retirements, redundancies and a difficulty in recruiting during the pandemic.
But the shortage of staff looks set to continue for a long time to come, as more people retire than those who are trained in the profession.
