In the clip, you hear Filip Lundgren about how the city of Gothenburg prepares the reception.

Since the war broke out in Ukraine, several thousand people have sought refuge in Sweden.

About two thirds have so far arranged housing on their own, but the situation can change quickly.

In the city of Gothenburg, all the city's administrations and companies have been gathered to, among other things, take an inventory of which alternative places to live can be arranged quickly, if the Swedish Migration Board deems it necessary.

At present, there are no concrete requests.

- We have good preparedness but the situation is difficult to assess.

An important factor is that it must come the right way and that we receive directives from the Swedish Migration Board, says Filip Lundgren.

The reception of refugees is also high on the agenda for the city's political leadership.

- We discuss issues such as whether it is a full-fledged integration or a temporary refuge for a limited time.

It must be possible to offer schooling, there must be medical care, says Jonas Attenius, group leader for the Social Democrats in Gothenburg.

"Turn to NGOs"

Many have become involved in the refugee situation in Ukraine and travel down to the border to bring people back to Sweden.

Filip Lundgren says that he thinks the idea is good but asks that private individuals instead turn to voluntary organizations in the first place.

- We do not want people to come to us without us being aware of it, he says.
