The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested two men, aged 23 and 30, for sexually assaulting a woman last Saturday morning when she was leaving a nightlife venue in the Ciutat Vella district, in addition to stealing her mobile phone.
The agents stopped the suspects as they were running through the streets of the neighborhood without anyone chasing them.
When searching them, they found one of them with a mobile phone that was not his and a credit card in the name of a woman.
Precisely, a short distance away, another patrol was attending to a woman in a park who reported a sexual assault by two men in addition to the theft of her mobile phone and the card she had inside the case.
By linking the two events, the Mossos took the suspects to the police station and there it was confirmed that the phone belonged to the victim and they were related to the alleged rape.
That is why they are accused of the crimes of robbery with violence and sexual assault and after going to court, their entry into provisional prison was agreed.
The victim was taken to a medical center to be treated for the injuries he suffered after the attack.
The Mossos d'Esquadra initiated the procedures to advise her to file the complaint.
