Malmö FF was the main owner of the ski resort Näsfjället which went bankrupt last year and the club has lost over SEK 19 million in bankruptcy.

Invested money in the facility

The football club, together with several well-known athletes, had invested large sums of money in the small alpine facility located furthest north in the Sälen mountains.

The one of the sports stars who has lost the most has personally lost almost seven million kronor and several of them have lost one or more million kronor.

- These are athletes who for a short time during their career earned some money and who sought management in this facility, says Henric Schef.

Keeps closed during the trial

These include an Olympic gold medalist, national team coaches and elite players in both football and ice hockey who now hope to get some of the money back.

The facility is closed because a legal process is underway that the bankruptcy trustee is pursuing against another company.

- This can take time.

It may not be clear until next year, says Henric Schef.

SVT has contacted Malmö FF for a comment.
