As the vote counting rate in the 20th presidential election has exceeded half, the gap between Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung and People's Strength presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol is narrowing.

According to the election statistics system of the National Election Commission, as of 12:32 a.m. today (10th), the vote counting rate was 50.97%, with Candidate Yoon recording 48.31% and Candidate Lee recording 48.28%, respectively.

The gap is 0.03 percentage points.

It is the first time that Candidate Yoon overturned this candidate in the percentage of votes since the counting began at 8:10 pm the day before.

At around 10:20 pm earlier, at the time of the vote counting rate of 5.02%, Candidate Lee was 51.21%, leading Candidate Yoon (45.66%) by 5.55 percentage points.

At 10:45 pm, when the vote counting rate was 10.02%, Candidate Lee recorded 50.04%, and Candidate Yoon recorded 46.76%.

The gap was 3.28 percentage points.

At 11:41, when the vote counting rate was 30.01%, Candidate Lee was 49.63% and Candidate Yoon was 47.08%, narrowing the gap to 2.55 percentage points.

Just past midnight, the gap between the two candidates has narrowed to less than 1 percentage point.

However, as the results of exit polls from broadcasters showed that the two candidates showed tight vote rates with a gap of 0.6 to 07 percentage points, it is likely that they will continue to fight back and forth.
