At a committee meeting of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly held on the 9th, a member of the Diet who was infected with the new coronavirus and was undergoing medical treatment asked questions online from his home.

This is the first time that the questions of the Metropolitan Assembly have been asked online.

On the 9th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly held a budget special committee to discuss the budget for the new year.

Among them, Keisho Taira, a member of the Tomin First no Kai, asked questions online.

According to the Parliamentary Bureau, lawmakers attended online after being confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus on the 5th of this month because they were receiving medical treatment at home and were in good physical condition.

In the committee room, a monitor showing the members at home was placed, and the members asked the Tokyo side for their views on the environment and educational measures.

The voice was heard through the speakers in the committee room, and Governor Koike and executives responded.

Following the spread of the infection in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, the ordinance has been amended so that members can attend all committees other than the plenary session online, and it will be the first time that it will actually be held on the 9th.
