The assault occurred in central Eskilstuna on 15 August 2021 when a man was beaten by several people with blows and kicks, including in the head when he was lying on the ground.
According to the prosecutor, the now accused man participated in the assault.
Eskilstunabon has been arrested in his home since November 2021 and according to the indictment then had a sharp-charged pistol available.
He was also wearing a life jacket and is said to have been under the influence of drugs at the time.
The man is also suspected of drug offenses in three cases, one of which is serious.
He denies any wrongdoing.
