The ambassador was strongly protested in connection with the incident with the violation of the security of the Russian embassy in Dublin,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The department stated the need for the Irish authorities to take comprehensive measures to eliminate threats to the security of the Russian diplomatic mission in Dublin and its personnel in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
“We demanded from the leadership of Ireland an official apology for what happened and full compensation for the damage caused.
We also expect the authorities of this country to conduct an objective investigation and punish those responsible, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
According to TASS, citing a representative of the diplomatic mission in Ireland, an unknown person rammed the gates of the Russian embassy in Dublin in a truck, he was detained.
According to preliminary data, no one was injured in the incident.
