The alarm about the single accident south of Hakkas was received at 08.23 on Tuesday.
Emergency services, police and an ambulance have rushed to the scene.
- It is a tanker that drove into the ditch and the driver was taken by ambulance to hospital, says Marie Andersson, spokesperson for the police.
The damage situation to the driver is currently unknown.
Road completely closed
The tanker blocks the road which will be completely closed during the rescue operation.
According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the road is expected to be closed until 17.00 and urges motorists to take another road if possible.
The tanker contains dangerous goods, but according to initial information, it is unclear whether the vehicle has started to leak in connection with the accident.
