A reporter asked: The 2022 "China Business Environment Survey Report" released by the American Chamber of Commerce in China on the 8th shows that 58% of American companies in China will achieve revenue growth in 2021, and China is still the top three in recent global investment plans of 60% of companies. One of the major investment destinations, 66% of enterprises plan to increase investment in China this year, and 83% of enterprises have no plans to transfer manufacturing or procurement out of China.

What is China's comment?

Zhao Lijian: The survey report released by the American Chamber of Commerce in China once again confirms the recognition of foreign-invested enterprises in China's investment and business environment, and is a "vote of confidence" in China's development.

Looking ahead, the fundamentals of China's economy with strong resilience, ample potential and long-term improvement remain unchanged.

China will continue to deepen reform and opening up and create a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment, which will provide more opportunities for companies from all over the world, including American companies, to invest in China.

The nature of China-US economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win results.

American companies have made huge profits in China and also contributed to China's economic development.

We also hope that the US government will uphold the concept of openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit and win-win results, stop unreasonably restricting and suppressing Chinese companies, and create favorable conditions for the healthy development of China-US economic and trade cooperation.
