Given the drop in Covid-19 contaminations and the high vaccination coverage in Loire-Atlantique, the demand for appointments with vaccination centers is decreasing in the department.
This is why the regional health agency (ARS) has decided to close certain vaccination centers.
By the end of March, ten centers will close their doors in Loire-Atlantique.
Six of them are already closed: Machecoul, Saint-Herblain, La Baule, Vertou, Vallet and Pontchâteau.
That of Nort-sur-Erdre will close on March 11, that of Pornic on March 16, and those of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu and Rezé will in turn close on March 31.
Conversely, four centers remain open: Ancenis, Nantes-Erdre, Châteaubriant and Saint-Nazaire.
The vaccination campaign is also continuing in medical offices by general practitioners, nurses and community pharmacies.
Nearly 61% of the inhabitants of Loire-Atlantique have taken their booster dose and 276,000 people have tested positive for Covid-19 since January 1, 2022, according to the latest figures from the ARS.
