A tragedy occurred Monday afternoon in the small town of Villerest, in the Loire.
Around 4 p.m., a 50-year-old employed by the town hall was trimming trees in the homes of residents of his neighborhood when he fell to his death, as revealed by

The man was 4 m high when he lost his balance, before impaling himself on a grid that surrounds the property.
The emergency services were alerted through his son, present at his side to cut the trees.
The victim quickly succumbed to his injuries, despite the care provided by the Samu and the firefighters.
A judicial inquiry was opened by the gendarmes, while the Roanne prosecution ordered an autopsy of the body of this 55-year-old technical agent.
