To the attention of all those who wish to be useful.

Our government launched this Tuesday the online service “I am committed to Ukraine”, according to information from our colleagues from Paris.

For all those who wish to contribute to the collective effort of welcoming Ukrainian families forced to flee their countries, the online platform can help you.

“France will respond present,” says Marlène Schiappa.

The Minister Delegate for Citizenship, Marlène Schiappa, was at the microphone of franceinfo this Tuesday morning to promote this new tool of state solidarity: "You are a French family, you have the possibility of hosting a family: we put you in touch with an association that accompanies you in this act of generosity”

🗣 Welcoming Ukrainians ➡️ "The stay can be renewed twice. But the families who arrive from Ukraine, they tell us that they want to go back", says Marlène Schiappa.

The bar of 2 million refugees exceeded

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees had announced that this threshold would be exceeded on Tuesday and it was done in the middle of the day.

The number of Ukrainian refugees stood at precisely 2,011,312 people at 12 noon.

If Poland has received more than half (1,204,403), many of them will arrive in France and the question of welcoming these families will become essential.

In France, already 5,000 Ukrainian refugees

Precisely, according to Gabriel Attal, government spokesman, some “5,000 people from Ukraine (have) arrived in France” since the start of the conflict, on Thursday 24 February.

.@GabrielAttal: "We have gone to 5,000 people from Ukraine who have arrived in France. There is an agreement that has been reached in the EU to provide Ukrainians with temporary protection, to benefit from the same regime as asylum , temporarily and more quickly."
