All conflicts are different.

If you were to enter into a conflict that has lasted for several years, it is easier to plan, says Peter Moberger.

He lives in Uppsala and works part-time as a surgeon in Västerås and part-time as chairman of Médecins Sans Frontières.

Now he is ready to go to Ukraine as part of the MSF surgery team.

- Things happen hour by hour.

I am ready to go from one day to another, he says.

"The needs are endless"

Every year, between 100 and 150 Swedes go on various assignments for Doctors Without Borders.

Peter Moberger has served abroad on ten occasions.

His most recent assignment was in Yemen this summer.

- It is a very rewarding job.

The needs are endless, says Peter Moberger.

In the video above, you hear Peter tell you more about what it is like to go on missions in conflict areas.
