Palestinian sources announced the death of a Palestinian youth - today, Monday - by Israeli occupation forces' bullets near Bab Al-Qattanin, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City, east of occupied Jerusalem.

And the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) quoted eyewitnesses as saying that members of the occupation police, present at the scene, shot directly at a Palestinian youth, claiming that he had carried out a stabbing attack that wounded two soldiers.

For its part, the occupation police said in a statement that a Palestinian armed with a knife reached the Qattanin Gate - one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem - and stabbed two policemen there, adding that the attacker was shot.

Police forces closed all axes leading to the scene, according to the same source.

For its part, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that two policemen in their twenties were moderately wounded in the stabbing attack.
