Jakobsen overtook Belgian champion Wout van Aert to settle a first platoon of around forty elements.

In the general classification, Laporte is 5 seconds ahead of Van Aert and 11 seconds over the Slovenian Primoz Roglic, all three in the colors of the Jumbo team.

The outgoing winner, the German Maximilian Schachmann, lost almost a minute and a half, as did the Portuguese Joao Almeida and the French Guillaume Martin, in a second group.

Jakobsen (25) won his sixth win of the season.
