“An exchange of views took place on a number of topical issues of the regional and international agenda, including the Syrian settlement, the situation in Ukraine,” the message on the website of the Foreign Ministry says.

The parties also paid attention to the restoration of the full implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program.

Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, head of the Iranian delegation at the talks in Vienna, Ali Bagheri Kani, said that the parties to the negotiations on the nuclear deal in Vienna are close to concluding an agreement. 

The Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, spoke out against the establishment of artificial deadlines in the negotiations on the JCPOA and welcomed the continuation of consultations on its restoration.
