34 days before the first round of the presidential election, the names of the candidates who have gathered their 500 sponsorships will be revealed by the President of the Constitutional Council on Monday.

For its part, the Superior council of audio-visual will begin to count the speaking time of the candidates in the media.

While the war in Ukraine is at the heart of French news, the electoral campaign can finally begin.

The President of the Constitutional Council will announce on Monday the candidates who have succeeded in validating their 500 sponsorships to be able to stand in the presidential election.

A boost 34 days from the first round.

Respect the speaking time of candidates in the media

This list of candidates will be published in the Official Journal and in the process, the Superior council of audio-visual will begin to count the speaking time in the media.

The CSA must ensure that broadcasters treat candidates fairly according to their political weight.

For this, it relies on the results of the last elections, the number of people elected to Parliament and the latest polls.

As for the kick-off of the official campaign, it will be given 20 days later, on March 28.

The rule of equity will then be replaced by that of strict equality of speaking time.

It is now too late to register on the electoral lists but if you have done so in time, you will be called to the polls on April 10 for the first round.

Some overseas communities will vote the day before to take into account the time difference.

The provisional results will be given from 8 p.m.

Same thing for the second round of voting, which will be held on April 24.
