On Monday, the king attended the Life Regiment's hussars at Karlsborg Fortress for a so-called standard handover.
A ceremony where a flag is handed over to the regiment.
The visit had been planned for a long time, but when the king went up to the pulpit, he began by addressing a few words "to everyone in Sweden" and then touched on the war in Ukraine.

People are fleeing their homes, families are falling apart and innocent people are dying, says King Carl XVI Gustaf.

The King also mentioned that Sweden, together with other EU countries, has in the strongest terms condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
