In a " very heavy

" context

 with the "

return of war in Europe

 ", Emmanuel Macron warned: "

I will be president as much as I have to and I will be a candidate as much as I can

 ".

For his first public outing since

the formalization of his presidential candidacy

next April, he chose to go to Poissy (Yveline) for a "conversation" with 200 inhabitants.

“

I who defended the “at the same time” a lot, this one is complicated (…) it is difficult to be president and candidate at the same time

 ”, he admitted.

This expression, "

at the same time

 "

often used by the outgoing president, sums up this presidential campaign hit like never before for more than half a century by an international crisis, forcing the 12 candidates to move from very concrete proposals to the complexity of the geopolitics.

What is difficult is to be president and candidate at the same time.

Removal of the fee

This Monday evening, Emmanuel Macron declined, during a meeting with the air of great debate, his first candidate proposals, while he is given well ahead of the voting intentions of the first round, even exceeding the 30% mark. in some polls.

He has thus undertaken, if he is re-elected, to abolish the TV license fee and to triple the ceiling of the "Macron bonus" which has so far allowed companies to pay up to 1,000 euros without charge or tax.

The president-candidate also presented several other proposals for the school, in particular the possibility of teaching students to code from 5th grade and “

experimenting 30 minutes of sport

” daily in the morning in primary school.

Overall, he says he wants to "

decompartmentalize the school by giving more resources, more remuneration and more pedagogical freedom to teachers

 ".

Thus, he explained that he wanted to give more space to businesses in schools, by reserving them half a day a week in college for orientation sessions and by associating them more with the courses of vocational high schools.

We need the major reform of the vocational high school that we need, with a partnership with companies

 ," he said.

Another commitment, "

keep time with college students from the 5th, half a day a week, where we bring companies to the college, which will help guide and explain the jobs of tomorrow, so that the training courses correspond to the needs

 " .

“

No debate

 ” with the other candidates

After this meeting and before "

leaving

 " to give "

an urgent phone call on the international context

", the president-candidate told an LCI journalist that he "

would not debate with the other candidates before the first tower.

No incumbent president who is standing for re-election has done so

 .”

 “

I do not shy away from the debate.

Rather than having meetings where people applaud you because they are already convinced, I prefer the debate with the French, that's what I owe them

 , ”he explained.

The possibility of a meeting next Saturday in Marseille is no longer on the agenda.
