According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on March 5, local time, the Russian army has taken control of a military base in the Kherson region of Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Ukrainian army left the position in a hurry, leaving behind infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank missiles, etc., as well as more than 4,500 tons of ammunition.
The base can accommodate about four thousand soldiers.
