In the midst of the war between Ukraine and Russia, the Russian House of Science and Culture in Paris (16th arrondissement) was targeted by a jet of an "incendiary device" which crashed against the gate of the building, without causing any casualties, according to a police source on the night of March 6 to 7.

The police, alerted by a security officer of the establishment, found "pieces of glass and liquid on the ground" and found that a display panel was "slightly blackened and melted", according to this source.

After reporting an "attack", Russia demanded from France the protection of its diplomatic representations "that they ensure the adequate security of our official representations", declared the spokeswoman for Russian diplomacy, Maria Zakharova, on his Telegram account.

The website of the "Russian House" announces in French that planned events are postponed "to a later date" and that "for administrative reasons", the establishment is "temporarily closed".
