The national police and the municipal police of Sucy-en-Brie (Val-de-Marne) intervened jointly in the garden of a house in the city on Saturday.

A shell had indeed been discovered there.

Demining specialists were also called and took charge of the explosive device, reports

Evacuations and security perimeter

For security reasons, the security forces set up a perimeter around the site where the shell was located.

In particular, the inhabitants of nearby accommodation were moved away.

On Facebook, during the intervention of specialists, the town called on residents to avoid the area around rue des Fontaines.
