Zhang Baoyan, deputy to the National People's Congress: It is recommended to cancel online voting and put an end to voting for favors

Beijing, March 6 (China Youth Daily, China Youth Daily reporter Li Huaxi) This year's National People's Congress, Zhang Baoyan, a representative of the National People's Congress and the founder of "Baby Home", suggested that online voting should be resolutely banned, and the use of the Internet to canvass and vote must never be used. favor ticket.

She said that at present, the popularity of online voting has a tendency to replace traditional voting, but compared with the two, although online voting has certain convenience, the adverse effects that follow cannot be ignored.

Zhang Baoyan believes that most of the people participating in online voting are acquaintances, and they fight for the interpersonal circle or power of the person being evaluated. Some governments, enterprises and institutions even regard voting as a "political task" that must be completed.

"In fact, among the people who participated in the voting, there are many laymen. They don't have the real ability to discriminate at all. They just vote and don't care whether the final result truly reflects the level of the person being evaluated." She said that many are really excellent but lack the ability to judge. Those who are supported by the network circle and the unit will be rejected, which makes the selection activities unfair.

In addition, the "vote-sweeping companies" spawned by bad voting behavior also turned the selection activity into a "money-burning game".

Zhang Baoyan said: "Such vote swiping has changed the taste of the fair and just selection, and has contributed to social impetuousness, comparison and utilitarianism."

Zhang Baoyan also believes that the disadvantages of online voting will also lead to the leakage of personal information and the lack of social credibility.

Therefore, she suggested that government departments should take the lead in resolutely ban online voting, and never allow the use of the Internet to solicit votes and vote for favors, so that traditional voting can return to the dominant position of selection activities, and the judges should be fair and open.
