On Sunday evening, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of a Palestinian boy, shot by the Israeli occupation army, east of occupied Jerusalem, becoming the second martyr within 24 hours.

The ministry said - in a brief statement - that it had received a notification of the death of 16-year-old Yamen Nafez Jafal, who was shot by the occupation forces in the town of Abu Dis (east of Jerusalem).

Anadolu Agency quoted local sources as saying that the Israeli occupation army shot Yamen during clashes that erupted in the town, and then arrested him wounded.

Eyewitnesses added that the occupation soldiers fired tear gas canisters at a Palestinian ambulance that went to the area to rescue the injured, and the occupation soldiers fired heavy bullets and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian youth who gathered in the area, resulting in bullet wounds and suffocation.

A video clip circulated on social media platforms showed a number of Israeli soldiers carrying a wounded man on a stretcher, and placing him inside a military vehicle.

On Sunday morning, a 19-year-old Palestinian man from occupied East Jerusalem was shot dead by the Israeli police, which led to his death.

The police said - in a statement - that the young man approached the policemen stationed at Bab Hutta (leading to the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque), took out a knife and stabbed one of them.

The Israeli police indicated that two policemen were slightly injured;

One of them was stabbed, the other was during police shooting. The Palestinian died after the police prevented ambulance teams from picking him up.
