People with experiences from war have a certain amount of suffering linked to their experience but can still continue to function in their everyday lives, says Isabel Petrini, psychologist at the Red Cross' treatment center for war victims.

- But then something happens that activates symptoms of trauma you may have thought had already healed, e.g.

the war in Ukraine.

Suddenly it becomes unsustainable and you are forced to deal with what is called a "late onset" of the stress associated with your trauma.

We see that many are experiencing it right now.

Hear the psychologist Isabel Petrini talk about how the Ukraine war can affect those who already carry experiences from war and flight and what you can think of in the meeting with a person who has experiences far beyond your own.
