"I had to bounce back after Saturday, I had a little pressure (...) Today, I have the silver medal, I'm happy."

rejoiced Marie Bochet, 2022 Paralympic vice-champion of the super-G.

The day before, she had finished in tears after missing her entry into the downhill event, victim of a loss of a ski from the second gate.

"It has a little taste of gold" this medal, added the tricolor star while the Chinese Zhang Mengqiu "was difficult to get".

Zhang, 19, achieved a feat by winning her country's first-ever Paralympic title in alpine skiing, the day after her silver medal in the downhill.

She was imitated by her compatriot Liang Jingiy, also crowned in super-G.

China, which had already collected eight medals at the end of the first day on Saturday, adds eight more to its harvest, with 4 golden charms (out of a total of six).

She returns ahead of Ukraine in the medal table (3 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze).

Bochet's silver is the only one of the day for the Blues who have three medals, one in each metal.

4/4 snowboarding

Crowned Paralympic downhill champion on Saturday, Arthur Bauchet this time finished at the foot of the super-G podium.

"I love chocolate, but in medals I'm not a fan. After that, I make a mistake," reacted the 21-year-old skier.

He will have the opportunity to do better on Monday during the super combined.

The event, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was brought forward by a day due to the weather.

Manoël Bourdenx, Jordan Broisin and Oscar Burnham finished 7th, 14th and 20th while young Jules Segers fell.

Chocolate medal also for Hyacinthe Deleplace and Valentin Giroud Moine in the visually impaired category, one day after winning bronze in the downhill.

For her start in snowboardcross qualifying, Cécile Hernandez took first place and is the favorite for Monday.

The Perpignanaise, who was reclassified in LL2, a category where sportswomen less disabled than her compete, after removal of the LL1, assumed her position as favorite.

"I'm super happy and a bit surprised because yesterday (Saturday) I was only able to do morning training," she explained.

All the French snowboarders involved have also won their ticket for the final.

Among the men, Maxime Montaggioni, 6th in the UL category, is also qualified, as are Laurent Vaglica (9th) and Mathias Menendez Garcia (13th) in LL2.
