China News Agency, Wuhan, March 6th, title: Dialogue with Xiong Zhaozheng: Tell the story of the mother river with the entire Yangtze River in mind

China News Agency reporter Zhang Qin

"Grandpa, is the story of our family finished?" "Children, the story of the Yangtze River can't be told! How many, Grandpa can't tell. Boy, count the stars in the sky!"

This is a commentary at the end of the song and dance drama "Live by the Yangtze River" created by Xiong Zhaozheng, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and honorary chairman of the Hubei Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Recently, Xiong Zhaozheng said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the splendid, inclusive, open, and diverse Yangtze River culture has played an extremely important role in the origin and development of Chinese civilization. Deeply digging into the cultural connotation of the Yangtze River and telling the story of the Yangtze River are important for improving the quality of life. The dissemination and influence of Chinese cultural logos have far-reaching significance.

At the National Two Sessions last year, Xiong Zhaozheng suggested that the construction of the Yangtze River National Cultural Park should be elevated to a national strategy.

In January this year, the construction of the Yangtze River National Cultural Park officially started.

This is the fifth national cultural park launched in China after the Great Wall, the Grand Canal, the Long March and the Yellow River National Cultural Park.

"Doctor Sanlu, you live under the Kui Gate of the Yangtze River, and I live above the Dragon Gate of the Yellow River. The Yangtze River and the Yellow River are in our hometown, squeezed out of constraints, Wang Yang rushes to the sea wantonly. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers go hand in hand, China The culture is splendid. The two of us hold hands, and Chinese culture is born in our hands."

When creating the drama "Sima Qian", Xiong Zhaozheng used Sima Qian's mouth to "dialogue" Qu Yuan to explain the relationship between the culture of the Yangtze River and the culture of the Yellow River.

He believes that the Yangtze River and the Yellow River are the two major symbols of Chinese civilization, and together they constitute the spiritual home of the Chinese nation.

Xiong Zhaozheng, who was born by the Yangtze River, has a special affection for the Yangtze River.

For decades, from Sanjiangyuan to Chongming Island, his footprints have been all over the Yangtze River.

"The scenery and humanities of each stop are different, and each culture has its own unique performance in different historical periods." Xiong Zhaozheng said.

"As a public cultural carrier, the Yangtze River National Cultural Park should let everyone keep the entire Yangtze River in their hearts." In Xiong Zhaozheng's view, the Yangtze River, which stretches for more than 6,000 kilometers, traverses China and is affected by different climates, geographical environments, and production methods. The influence of factors has formed the so-called "different pronunciations in ten miles, different customs in a hundred miles", and also created different cultural forms such as the Bashu culture in the upper reaches, the Jingchu culture in the middle reaches, and the Wuyue culture in the lower reaches.

Xiong Zhaozheng believes that there are rich cultural heritage, historical allusions and relics along the Yangtze River. Only by integrating and connecting the cultural resources along the Yangtze River can we tell the story of the Yangtze River, instead of seeing only a part of it like a blind man touching an elephant.

"Culture should look backward, it's a rear-view mirror, and technology should look forward, it's a telescope." Talking about his understanding of "culture", Xiong Zhaozheng said that culture is not something that can't be grasped, but a real life. manners, customs, and values.

He believes that taking the construction of the Yangtze River National Cultural Park as an opportunity to integrate these things that everyone is accustomed to will play a great role in rekindling the people's love and cherishing of the Yangtze River and inheriting the Yangtze River culture.

At present, Xiong Zhaozheng is working on the creation of "Wuhan Biography".

"This is a city that is inextricably linked with the Yangtze River." Xiong Zhaozheng said, from the Panlong City 3,500 years ago, to the observatory set up by Sun Quan in Snake Mountain to control the Yangtze River, and then to Zhang Zhidong "creating the first Jianghan Begins", hoping to restore the original appearance of Wuhan's history by telling stories about these important events and historical celebrities that happened on the banks of the Yangtze River.
