Ukrainian nuclear regulators announced on the 6th that a nuclear material handling facility in the second city of Kharkov had been bombarded by Russia and strongly accused it of "again terrorizing nuclear weapons."

Ukrainian nuclear regulators have announced that they have been bombarded at a nuclear material facility on the premises of the National Institute of Physical Technology in Kharkov, at least on the surface of the building and at the substation, although details are unknown. It is said that damage has occurred.

According to the institute's homepage, it is one of Ukraine's largest physics research facilities, founded in 1928, and has been involved in nuclear policy after the collapse of the former Soviet Union.

Also, according to Japan's former Soviet Union denuclearization cooperation technology secretariat, the research institute stores nuclear material that was brought in during the former Soviet era.

Ukrainian nuclear regulators have strongly accused "Russia of terrorism against nuclear weapons again."

The Ukrainian Ministry of Home Affairs also warns that "attacks on facilities with nuclear material could lead to massive damage."
