Samsung Electronics has suspended shipments of products exported to Russia.

This is because global maritime logistics have been disrupted due to sanctions against Russia, which went to war with Ukraine.

A Samsung Electronics official said, "We have stopped shipping due to external circumstances."

However, it is known that there are no direct problems with the operation of the local plant in Russia.

A Samsung Electronics official said, "Since there is stock in the Russian factory, we will have to see the situation, but sales are expected to take place without any setbacks for the time being."

Also, regarding the suspension of sales of products by US companies such as Apple and Intel to Russia, he said, "Unlike those companies, Samsung Electronics made an inevitable decision due to ship problems, etc."

Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics has decided to donate $6 million (about 7.3 billion won) to Ukrainian refugees.
