China News Agency, Beijing, March 5 (Ma Shuisha) At 14:01 on March 5, China used the Long March 2C carrier rocket at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center to successfully launch the Galaxy Aerospace 02 batches of satellites (6) and 1. A commercial remote sensing satellite was launched.

This batch of satellites is mainly used for low-orbit Internet constellation networking technology and service capability verification, as well as remote sensing technology verification.

The 02 batches of satellites of Galaxy Aerospace will form China's first low-orbit broadband communication test constellation together with the first satellite of Galaxy Aerospace.

Among the 02 batches of batch production satellites of Galaxy Aerospace, 4 satellites were named "Nantong No. 1", "Yitu No. Xingyuan", "Xuancheng No. 1" and "Beijing Post-Yinghe" satellites.

Another remote sensing test satellite was named "Xuanming Xingyuan" satellite.

The successful launch of this mission has verified that China has the low-cost, batch development and network operation capabilities of satellites necessary to build a satellite Internet mega-constellation, which is of positive significance for promoting the development of China's commercial low-orbit satellite communication and remote sensing integration technology.

Galaxy Aerospace 02 batch production satellites are low-orbit broadband communication satellites independently developed and mass-manufactured by Galaxy Aerospace. The designed communication capacity of a single satellite exceeds 40 Gbps, and the average weight of the satellite is about 190 kg.

These 6 satellites will form China's first low-orbit broadband communication test constellation together with the Galaxy Aerospace launch satellite, and build a satellite-ground fusion 5G test network "Little Spider Web", with a single time of about 30 minutes of uninterrupted, low-time Extend broadband communication service capabilities, which can be used for technical verification of China's low-orbit satellite Internet and the integrated network of space and earth.

This launch is the first mission of the Long March 2C carrier rocket in 2022, and it is also the first launch of the two-stage configuration of this type of rocket with a side-mounted multi-satellite network launch. Combined application.

Xing Jianwei, the general deputy chief designer of the Long March 2C carrier rocket of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said that in the follow-up launch missions this year, the Long March 2C carrier rocket will also plan to further carry out the parachute-based fairing landing area control system innovation research .

This launch is the 410th flight of China's Long March series of launch vehicles.
