US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed his country's commitment to support the international coalition against Moscow.
In a press conference on Friday, Blinken said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is violating the humanitarian principles established by the international community after World War II, especially since Ukraine is being destroyed, as it risks a nuclear disaster, he said.
He added that Russia has turned into a pariah state, stressing that it has become difficult to believe what Putin said about the conduct of operations according to plan, referring to the Russian President's announcement yesterday that the military operation is going exactly as planned.
He also stressed the need to adhere to international principles, including that a country should not subjugate another country or harm its neighbors, and also pointed out the impossibility of imposing a no-fly zone because that would lead to the downing of Russian planes and thus the outbreak of a comprehensive and destructive war.
He stressed that Putin is ready to use excessive force to subjugate Ukraine.
He added that the US administration is in constant contact with the Ukrainian government to meet its needs, stressing that it will defend every inch of NATO territory.
