Wang Yang pointed out that in 2021, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will focus on promoting high-quality development and hold a meeting of the Standing Committee on Building a New Development Pattern. Launch a new major national science and technology project, strengthen national strategic science and technology strength, implement the development plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, coordinate the development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, systematically deploy new infrastructure, promote the high-quality development of multimodal transport, and promote the health of the Internet game industry Development and other research and discussion.
Focusing on the concerns of people's livelihood, the Standing Committee meeting was held on the topic of building a higher level of safe China, and a special consultation meeting was held around consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and responding to the aging of the population. The system, the national public health protection network, the exploration and protection of traditional Chinese medicine resources, the strengthening of the construction and management of rural health centers, the formulation of the social assistance law, the development and security of border areas, etc.
Focus on the construction of ecological civilization, carry out the supervision of key proposals to strengthen the ecological protection of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and climate change adaptation, and organize consultations on the construction of ecological civilization in the Yellow River Basin, carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, ecological protection of national key lakes, and urban sewage treatment.

Wang Yang said that in 2021, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference will set up an expert consultation meeting to organize cross-sector, cross-disciplinary, cross-field expert committee members and relevant scholars to conduct small-scale and multiple rounds of in-depth consultations. 36 meetings were held on strategic forward-looking issues such as the research on the rural modernization index system, and some important results were affirmed and adopted.
