The Senlis prosecution appealed in the trial of sexual assault denounced in 2017 in Creil by Shaïna, 13, and the four young people involved will be retried, the prosecutor announced on Friday.

The juvenile court had handed down its decision on Tuesday, convicting three of the defendants for sexual assault and violence in meetings, but releasing them for the dissemination of pornographic images of a minor.

He had released the fourth defendant, tried for another sexual assault committed a week before that of the trio.

The principal accused, 14 years old

The main respondent, ex-boyfriend of Shaïna and 14 years old at the time of the facts, had been sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended probation for two years.

The other two, aged 16 and 17, had been sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended on probation for two years.

"In view of the acquittal pronounced for the benefit of one of the four defendants and the sentences pronounced against the other three, the Senlis prosecution appealed against this judgment", indicates in a press release the public prosecutor of Senlis, Jean-Baptiste Bladier.

The prosecution had requested two years in prison

The case will be retried as a whole, and "heard in the coming months before the Amiens Court of Appeal", he said.

In this case, the prosecution had requested two years in prison, including one firm, against Shaïna's boyfriend whom he designated as the "leader", and the same sentence against the defendant suspected of the other attack.

Unlike the other two defendants, he had asked for nine months in prison and six months probation.

These facts “are devoid of any link with the intentional homicide of which young Shaïna was the victim in October 2019, so that the decision of the Senlis juvenile court cannot in any way be analyzed in the light of this crime. committed more than two years later, ”recalled the prosecutor.
