It was on September 15 that a man in his 20s was shot in the face next to his friend.

Forensic pathologists have described it as "miraculous" that the man survived at all - the bullet went in through one cheek and out through the other.

The shooting is believed to have a strong connection to the gang conflict in Linköping, which in less than a year has resulted in several shootings and six murders.

The suspects have links to Bandido's subgroup X-team.

Victim pointed out shooter

During the trial at Linköping District Court, the shot 20-year-old chose to reveal who shot him - something that is very unusual in cases involving organized crime.

The prosecutor believes that it has been proven that one of the men, a 19-year-old, shot, and that a 20-year-old man had the task of luring the two men to the crime scene.

The state of evidence for the 25-year-old man who was also at the scene is considered weaker - but prosecutor Emma Högström demands that all defendants be sentenced to prison.

The 25-year-old man has been released from custody pending sentencing - the other two are still in custody.

The suspects deny the crime and want to be released.

Today at 11.00, the verdict is expected to be announced by Linköping District Court.
