An individual, who was appearing in court on prior admission of guilt, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, including 6 months that could be converted, for having engaged in the manufacture of narcotics, in Valras-Plage (Hérault), indicated Thursday the gendarmes of the Hérault.
In February, the municipal police officers of this seaside resort had been made aware that a strong smell of cannabis was emanating from a street.
The gendarmes opened an investigation, and carried out a search in a dwelling, where they discovered a plantation of cannabis herb, hallucinogenic mushrooms, as well as a laboratory, with all the necessary equipment, used for the production of cannabis resin.
The gendarmes also found 27,100 euros in this accommodation, mainly in 50 euro notes.
All of the equipment used in the production and manufacture of narcotics, cash and many digital devices were seized.
