The Malian army is said to have finally regained control of the military camp in the locality of Mondoro.

This one is rather well equipped, with armored vehicles and various armaments.

It all started this Friday morning in this central location.

The camp is located east of the city and the jihadists launched the attack from the north and east.

The tactical scheme is classic: some are on motorcycles, others in vehicles.

There were intense exchanges of gunfire on both sides, according to witnesses.

Malian army planes intervened.

The balance sheet communicated by the army reports 27 soldiers killed and 47 "

terrorists

" neutralized, but another 33 wounded, including 21 serious and seven "

 missing

" among the soldiers .

Telephone communications were cut with a good part of the city, which would be the work of the jihadists.
