An emergency meeting by the foreign ministers of the G7 = seven major countries has just started in Belgium over the increasingly tense situation in Ukraine.


Foreign Minister Hayashi is also present online, and it is likely that discussions are underway on future actions, including additional sanctions on Russia.

An emergency meeting by the G7 Foreign Ministers is being held in Brussels, Belgium, in a face-to-face and online format from around 9:30 pm Japan time, with Foreign Minister Hayashi attending online.



At the meeting, foreign ministers of each country shared information and awareness about the latest situation in the region, which is becoming more tense as Russian troops attacked Europe's largest nuclear power plant in southeastern Ukraine, and added. It seems that discussions are underway on future measures, including sanctions.
