On Sunday 27 February, SVT and Uppdrag published a review together with a number of international newsrooms on details of Ericsson's operations in, among other places, Iraq.

According to information from, among other things, an internal investigation from 2019, which Ericsson kept secret from shareholders, the company probably paid money to the terrorist organization IS to gain access to certain transport routes in Iraq.

SVT was also able, together with the journalist organization ICIJ, to publish information from internal documents within the company that showed suspected bribery in a dozen countries between 2017 and 2019 - information that had not previously been known.

So now the company and "some representatives" - have been sued in the US District Court in New York's East District by an investor.

Has not announced the stock market

Ericsson has not communicated with either the stock market or the relevant authorities regarding the information about suspected bribery and financing of terrorist networks.

Whether this is what the lawsuit is about in detail is still unclear.

According to Ericsson, this is "alleged violations of US securities law are alleged with regard to allegedly erroneous and misleading statements mainly related to the company's compliance with its principles and obligations regarding compliance and disclosure and regarding operations in Iraq".

SVT has contacted Ericsson on Friday night and asked for more details about the atmosphere.

SVT has also requested an interview with the CEO but without results.
