A Syrian resident loses 36 "kg" of weight for 18 thousand dirhams

Syrian resident Ghazwan Abdulelah Dakkak won a financial prize of 18,000 dirhams after winning first place after participating in the physical challenge category and losing 36 kilograms, while resident Hadeel Muhammad Ahmed won 16 thousand dirhams compared to her loss of 31.9 kilograms after winning second place.

Ras Al Khaimah Hospital revealed that 10,944 people participated in the Greatest Weight Loss Challenge, which it launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, for a period of 10 weeks. Female winners in the categories of physical challenge, virtual challenge and weight loss challenge, and the first 10 winners were honored in conjunction with the World Anti-Obesity Day.

The annual social responsibility initiative of Ras Al Khaimah Hospital, which aims to reduce the problem of obesity, witnessed an average weight loss of 10 kg for each participant, and the hospital organized the challenge into three categories, where the physical challenge category recorded the participation of five thousand and 655 people, while the virtual challenge recorded the participation of five thousand and 289 people.

Nine companies competed in the institutional teams category, where resident Ferdous Naladar lost 27 kg, and Alaa Al-Khidr resident lost 31 kg, while RAKtherm topped the list of participating companies in the institutional teams category, and the top ten winners, in addition to the generous cash prizes, won Five-star accommodations at Waldorf Astoria, Hilton Beach Resort, and Rixos Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to an annual subscription to the Gym Nation Club, and the opportunity to benefit from free Swiss medical examinations at Ras Al Khaimah Hospital.
