[Explanation] Hu Wei, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, member of the Democratic Progressive Central Committee, and counselor of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, said in an interview with reporters recently that the development of vocational education is currently facing the dilemma of "the government is hot" and the "civilian is cold", and it is necessary to focus on Establish relevant systems related to the development of vocational education.

Data show that from the perspective of China's industrial development, the gap rate of skilled talents will reach 48% by 2025, and the gap of technical blue-collar workers will be as high as 30 million.

However, in many cities in China, very few junior high school graduates fill out vocational schools as their first choice.

In the enrollment of some higher vocational colleges, there is also a phenomenon of "two 70%", that is, higher vocational colleges can only complete about 70% of the enrollment plan on average, and the final registration rate of students is only about 70%.

Hu Wei has been concerned about vocational education for a long time. In his view, under the current "double reduction" background, it is crucial to promote the society to establish a correct concept of talents and talents, boost the development of vocational education, and improve the social status of technical and skilled talents.

Few people, including ourselves, say that they choose vocational education and choose vocational schools.

In particular, I think the issue that should be paid attention to now is the diversion of the senior high school entrance examination.

Now secondary vocational education is regarded as inferior education, so now everyone is desperately trying to squeeze into high school.

In fact, this is also a major concern of our country in the past two years, that is, "double reduction", reducing the burden of in-class and extra-curricular training, but due to the diversion of high school entrance examinations, some students have to enter secondary vocational schools, so parents are now anxious. The burden on students has increased.

[Explanation] In view of the current problems of unbalanced development of high school education and shortage of technical talents, Hu Wei believes that it is very important to comprehensively reform the education model of high school and adjust or even abandon the "general vocational diversion" model in a timely manner.

Therefore, the second proposal I brought to you is about high school, a comprehensive high school, that is, this high school will be divided into two sections in the future, one section is academic in the comprehensive high school, and the other is skill-based in the comprehensive high school.

I call on us to develop a new college entrance examination, which is the college entrance examination. In the future, it will be two systems that go hand in hand with our current ordinary college entrance examination. It can select technical talents through the new college entrance examination. All the way up.

[Explanation] Hu Wei said that in the training of modern vocational education talents, it is necessary to highlight the genes of "job", the essence of "skill", the quality of "craftsman" and the feelings of "country".

Now, are you doing a good job in this school? It only needs "double first-class" students to settle down, so what about my craftsmanship skills?

There is no way, is there?

There are also some schools that are clearly run well, and their majors are well run, but as a result, students can't stay because of their majors. I personally think this is not right.

[Explanation] As a member of the CPPCC for the tenth year, Hu Wei still has a lot of proposals to make.

He said that in 2022, he will continue to pay attention to people's livelihood, focus on the familiar field of education, and actively offer suggestions.
