The Girona guard court is investigating a 63-year-old man who in the summer of last year held a minor who had escaped from a shelter in an apartment and sexually assaulted her.

The Mossos d'Esquadra arrested the suspect this week and after going to court the magistrate, in accordance with the prosecutor's request, agreed that the accused cannot communicate with the victim or approach less than 200 meters from them, in addition to appearances punctual in court.

The case is open for the crimes of illegal detention and sexual assault.

Presumably, the suspect met the minor in the summer of last year when she had escaped from a shelter.

He told her that he would protect her from her since she was a police officer and that is why he should accompany her to her apartment.

Once there, he allegedly took her mobile phone from her, locked the door and held her to rape her, until the victim was able to get out of it.
